As we roll on through the summer, we have some cracking gigs coming up for you guys at the Zuu Bar, featuring up and coming artists from all over the place. We have also installed a brand new stage and swapped things around a bit to enhance your live music experience. There are more changes to the venue in the pipeline but this is certainly the most significant.
Also, we are very pleased to announce that the Zuu Bar will now be FREE ENTRY after 11pm every single Friday and Saturday for the club nights and many of our gigs will also be free. We are open until 3am each weekend night so please feel free to call in whenever you like.

We are always on the lookout for local and up and coming bands to play at both The Zuu Bar (Friday and Saturday nights) and The Black Swan (last Friday in the month). Support / headline / short notice / long notice slots are usually available.
Being an all encompassing alternative venue, we are very open minded about styles / genres and we believe that variety is the spice of life. We actively encourage bands who play their own material. So whether you play simple acoustic numbers or avant garde post rock, mellow indie or gutcrushing metal there is a home for you on our stage.
Full PA and sound engineer are provided by the venue. Being musicians ourselves, we always strive to run our events fairly and ethically and you will never be asked to pay to play.

As previously reported, the planned Cro-Mags appearance on Wednesday 11th August, was unfortunately cancelled due to the band cutting down their number of UK appearances. Ticket money will be refunded at point of sale. However, for those of you who made plans to come to the Zuu bar, take the day after off or whatever, you will be pleased to know that the rest of the bill will still be playing.
Hardcore veteran Stoney has never been one to take no for an answer and so it has been arranged that his band Keyside Strike and Lowlife UK will still be playing, along with Leeds psychobilly outfit The Graveyard Gamblers. DJ Jez will also still be playing till late with all those hardcore classics and more besides – all of this for the vastly reduced entry price of £3. So, come along and enjoy a midweek blowout with some quality noise.
Despite the headline act pulling out, this will not be a second rate gig and Stoney has promised to play some Cro-Mags classics with his band Keyside Strike.

Bradford’s new monthly stand-up comedy night.
Stand-up comedy returns to Bradford in September at Zuu, one of the town’s most vibrant and exciting music venues. Resident compere Chris Brooker introduces Ben Schofield, Jay Hampson, Ben Lawes and top circuit headliner Alex Boardman.
Our first ever headliner, Alex Boardman, has an impeccable track record in the world of comedy. With a string of awards and nominations for his work on television and radio as well as his phenomenally well received solo shows, Alex is hugely sought after on the UK comedy circuit. Rapidly becoming a legend in his native Manchester, he combines charming anecdotes and diamond-cutter wit to incredible effect.

Support is ably provided by local lad, Ben Schofield. Ever since Ben’s first tentative steps into comedy before a home crowd in Bradford he has performed to audiences and critical acclaim in venues across the north of England. A dyed-in-the-wool rocker, he has imbued his performances with his rock and roll spirit, producing a dynamic, colourful (and really quite loud) act that is guaranteed to entertain.

The night is held together by Comedy @ The Zuu Bar’s resident MC Chris Brooker, widely regarded as one of the best comperes in the region. Also featured are two rising comedy talents from the UK circuit in the shape of Jay Hampson and Ben Lawes, both guaranteed to raise the roof in their own inimitable way.
Five comedians for five pounds, less than the price of a couple of pints and half the price of a trip to the local multiplex.
A fantastic night that’s still fantastic value for money. Hard to think of a better way to wind down your weekend. Tickets will be available on the door but a sell out is likely so best to buy in advance from the venue or online at www.WeGotTickets.com
Comedy @ The Zuu Bar will then continue on every second Sunday of the month and continue to showcase the best in stand-up from the UK and beyond.
October 10th will feature one liner maestro Gary Delaney, Tyneside’s Barry Dodds, the musical charm of Ruth E. Cockburn and the dry wit of Lynne Crook.

Unfortunately the CRO MAGS have cancelled their UK club shows in London, Bradford and Brighton. The only UK appearance on this tour with be the Rebellion festival in Blackpool Aug 8th.
All tickets purchased need to go to point of sale for refund.
We are extremely sorry for this as you can tell it was out of our control!

Cro-Mags are coming to Bradford
The legendary Hardcore Punk/ Thrash band from New York City are coming to Zuu Bar in Bradford for their only Northern non-festival show!
This influential band have a strong cult following and were among the first bands to fuse hardcore punk with thrash metal.
